Spring is here, but Torontonians certainly are not feeling it. Good Friday leads us into a three-day weekend but is accompanied by 50 km/h chilly winds. The winds have been so strong that they have knocked the power out of thousands of homes.
This weather could affect your three-day weekend. If you head out, do be careful of falling tree branches and ensure you wear a wind-breaker and warm clothes. Also, double-check with the venues you plan to visit, as many of them are cancelling Easter events as a result of the extreme weather.
Some places remain open. Yorkdale Mall’s Kidnetix indoor play center is holding an Easter egg hunt. Springridge Farm is also moving its egg hunt indoors. Do know that the weather will become warmer as we move into the weekend and homes without power are coming back on line.
Things are getting better, but still – take care!
